E-mail Marketing & Automation Associate Manager

The E-mail Marketing & Automation team advises teams across Marketing + Communications who are planning external e-mails on the most effective ways to structure programs for optimal impact;

and executes the mailings flawlessly.

This is a pivotal role, entrusted with guiding marketing stakeholders on the implementation of optimal email strategies and seamless end-to-end customer journeys.

This role encompasses the vital tasks of providing expert advice on email best practices, collecting, and analyzing data to create comprehensive operational and tool utilization reports, and translating findings into actionable insights to drive strategic recommendations.

This job requires a flexible, data-driven, and innovative team player with extensive e-mail marketing experience, solid communications skills, and the ability to establish rapport and trust with Accenture leaders and M+C teams.

A heavy emphasis is placed on collaboration skills and the ability to successfully establish credibility in the role of advisor.

E-mail Marketing & Automation is part of the Content Delivery team, focused on managing the processes, tools, and platforms and providing support and best practice strategies that enable M+C to easily deliver content and messages to clients, recruits, and employees across our internal and external channels.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Advice and support M+C stakeholders with email and journey end-to-end strategy, best practices, and automation.
  • Manage email platform (Eloqua) usage reports, and operational reports (Workfront) and share insights to support overall adoption.

Lead and promote a test-and-learn culture based on data, research, and best practices.

  • Work cross-functionally within M+C and other entities to support strategic projects.
  • Plan, implement, and roll out ad-hoc email automation, process improvement, and feature implementation projects as necessary.
  • Support marketers to think through appropriate audience segmentation strategies to maximize the impact of their e-mail programs.
  • Support email execution orchestration and manage escalations.
  • Support posting channel blog updates to keep M+C stakeholders informed of relevant news.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree, university degree or equivalent
  • Work Experience : Minimum of 8 years of marketing and / or communications experience.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements :

  • 6+ years of business and e-mail marketing experience, working in a complex organization.
  • Technology proficiency, including deep knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (especially Excel) and virtual collaboration platforms (MS Teams)
  • Sound knowledge of using marketing automation tools like Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot, etc. Experience with Salesforce and Adobe Workfront is not required but preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, including strong English skills for business (written and spoken)
  • Understanding of email marketing KPIs and reporting, as well as data privacy regulations and their relation to reporting
  • Experience with email A / B tests, testing trends, and best practices.
  • Understanding of Accenture’s areas of business and overall business strategy.
  • Understanding of strategic marketing and communications, especially in areas of specialization.
  • Understanding and ability to apply integrated marketing concepts, visual identity, brand strategy and positioning, and message development skills.
  • Global perspective and understanding of the business marketplace.
  • Project management
  • Negotiation, mediation, and conflict management skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Able to provide sound solutions to Marketing & Communications executives.
  • Leadership supervision of Accenture analysts and professionals outside Accenture, as assigned.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and a keen desire to provide well-executed deliverables in support of Accenture’s business strategy.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, curious, and data driven.
