Global Health And Development Director

Rethink Priorities is seeking a Director to join the Global Health and Development (GHD) Department, ideally in early June 2024.

Overview: The Department typically carries out short research projects, often commissioned by philanthropic organizations and other relevant actors in the GHD space.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Improving strategy and execution of projects, programs, causes and the department overall (e.g., overseeing the team as they conduct secondary research, leading/coordinating projects, leading the team’s strategy processes, contributing to sharpening RP's "big-picture" strategy).
2. Leading fundraising efforts and client relationship maintenance (e.g., outreach to existing and potential clients/stakeholders, participating in grant application processes).
3. Keeping generally abreast of developments to best contribute to strategy and execution, or important research (e.g., staying up-to-date in areas of interest to the department and to optimize RP's strategy).
4. Reporting and managing staff (e.g., managing other GHD managers, leading hiring/staffing efforts in the department, providing constructive feedback).

Additional Information:

• Salary: $125,250 USD
• Full-time (40h) or part-time (at minimum 32h) role
• Fully remote position, open worldwide (contingent upon local hiring restrictions)
