About Cognizant’s Digital Engineering Practice:
At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, nimble engineering teams generate collective empathy and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality deliverables. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. Working in Cognizant Digital Engineering provides DevOps engineers consistent opportunities to push digital boundaries while growing their exposure to transformational technologies.
Responsibilities:
· Expert Hands-on development experience in Kubernetes, Core Java and J2EE with proven expertise in writing application architecture and core design
· Versatile experience with delivering highly available services on multiple technology stacks in traditional data centers, public clouds, and private clouds.
· Deep understanding of and extensive experience applying advanced object-oriented design and development principles
· Analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality.
· Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Hibernate or JPA, Web-Services, RESTful, Design Patterns.
· Hands-on experience with RESTful services, API design
· Working knowledge of Casandra
· Experience working in agile scrum (SAFe) delivery experience.
· Experience in using build tools such as Jenkins, Ant, Maven, Gradle etc.,
· Mentor developers for difficult tasks & provide technical advice and guidance to the team members.
· Experience in developing and presenting solutions & design to design review boards.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· SAFe agile certification
· Good analytical and problem solving skills
· Mentor junior and senior software engineers.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science is preferred
· 10+ years’ experience of hands-on development experience in Kubernetes, Java, J2EE. Knowledge of Open Shift is optional, Casandra experience good to have.

· Guiding Development Team,
· Good Communication and presentation skills
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
