Join our New Product Development team
You will participate to the whole process of product definition, from conceptual design to development and testing phase of new rotating equipment for energy transition and consolidated portfolio applications (Centrifugal and axial compressor, turboexpanders, reciprocating compressors, innovative rotating equipment, covering the machine and plant integration). The main development areas will be related to Hydrogen Compression, Energy Storage, Waste Heat Recovery Systems (sCO2 cycles), CCUS (Carbon Capture Use and Storage).
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer - New Product Development, you will be responsible for:
Leading the design and validation phase of New Products, executing the development of cross-functional projects.
Executing design, calculations, analysis, and evaluation in multidisciplinary areas of engineering.
Developing ideas providing relevant effort in structuring conceptual roadmaps to target the goals.
Executing new design tools and methods, prototypes, verification and testing of new concepts and products.
Generating detailed technical reports and documentation of the design and testing phases of the Product Development.
Supporting and executing the consolidation and standardization of the Energy Transition and Compression Products.
Supporting market research to determine what types of products might be successful among consumers, collaborating across the business functions.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Master’s degree in Mechanical/Material/Energy Engineering. Having a PhD. is advantageous.
Have a solid background with experience in Mechanical or Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering.
Have knowledge of mechanical systems configuration and structural design.
Demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with CAD modelling, FEA, programming.
Be able to understand thermodynamic principles applied to turbomachinery performances.
Be able to understand material mechanisms such as static, fatigue, fracture, and creep behaviour.
Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
Have an open approach to problem solving, expanding the current theory, methods, and tools knowledge to fill the gaps.
Be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
