Lenovo is looking for an ONTAP Storage Consulting to join its professional services team. In this role you’ll be part of a growing professional services delivery organization and make an immediate end to end impact with your stakeholders. This would include interacting with our sales team and solution architects to support sizing, scoping, and presenting services opportunities to potential clients. You would lead onsite and remote client engagements to implement, upgrade, and migrate to Lenovo storage solutions for clients, particularly the ONTAP based DM and DG product lines. You will also apply your experience and lessons learned to help shape delivery process improvements and interaction with support, sales, and product engineering.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with ONTAP.
  • 10+ years hands-on, client facing experience with storage solutions.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of SAN connectivity best practices (including HBA and multipathing configuration for VMware ESXi, Windows Server, and Linux operating systems/hypervisors).
  • Strong understanding of ONTAP Storage features including Snapshots, controller failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, Snapmirror, FabricPools, S3 tiering
  • Experience with installation, configuration, demonstration, and gathering data with Unified Manager.
  • Experience with installing and leveraging Config Advisor.
  • Experience with Brocade SAN / Brocade Fabric OS (FOS) including switch initialization, code upgrades and zoning configuration.
  • Proficient in connecting, troubleshooting, and setting permissions for storage (including CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel).  Experience with LDAP and Active Directory integration would be highly regarded.
  • Experience with data migrations and data migration tools.
  • Metro Cluster configuration and administration.
  • Experience with explaining, configuring, and recovering data with NetApp Autonomous Ransomware Protection.
  • Experience with data backup from ONTAP to solutions such as Veeam and Commvault
  • NetApp E-Series or Lenovo DE series implementation and/ or administration Experience.
  • Experience with Lenovo ThinkSystem servers (OOB management, OS/hypervisor installation, firmware and device driver updates).
  • Experience with implementation and maintenance task automation.
  • Experience implementing and administering ONTAP via ONTAP tools/VMware plug-ins.

 

Travel within US & Canada is required for approximately  50% time (about 2 weeks per month)

The base salary range budgeted for this position is $140,000 - $180,000.  Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com.
