How you will make impact As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be in the forefront of a platform next-gen planning and upgrading. The platform supports thousands of clients and is the glue that maintains business integrations together and in-sync. Today the platform team needs to upgrade their observability and telemetry tooling to which they need a creative and strategic thinker on how to maintain and observe the health of the whole platform in real time. If you love to understand complex and distributed systems by the means of observability and you breath logs, metrics and events this is the perfect role for you. Your main toolkit will be next-gen platforms like Datadog with an added flavor of Containers and AWS. You will Lead the assessment of migrating the company's observability solution from various tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Loki) to Datadog. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current system architecture, requirements, and constraints. Evaluate existing observability components and workflows to identify migration challenges and opportunities. Develop a comprehensive migration plan outlining tasks, timelines, and dependencies. Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the migration process, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to operations. Work closely with the team to implement and execute the migration plan, addressing any issues or obstacles that arise. Conduct post-migration analysis to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability in the Datadog environment. Document migration processes, configurations, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing. You have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. At least 4 years of experience implementing Datadog observability solutions. In-depth knowledge of Datadog features and capabilities, including monitoring, tracing, logging, and visualization. Hands-on experience with migrating and upgrading observability programs in distributed platforms from Open Source to an end-to-end vendor. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerized environments (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams. Certifications in Datadog or related technologies are a plus. Benefits English Class.
