Responsiblities :
- Completes contract assignments for all phases of contractual undertakings.
- Typically handles the complex contracts.
- Understands and applies a thorough knowledge of the principles governing the business terms and conditions of contracts being negotiated.
- Contract managers are also responsible for successfully managing contract changes post-award. This involves analyzing and responding to contractor correspondence in such a manner so as to not eviscerate the Client’s rights and remedies under the contract.
It also involves developing claims defense strategies and engaging Legal resources as required to implement such strategies.
- In some cases, Worley is engage to manage contracts on behalf of the client. In those situations, Worley contract professionals need to closely collaborate with the appropriate Client representatives to successfully manage such contracts.
- Identify, solicit and select reliable contractors to supply consultant, speciality and construction services to support project execution.
- Negotiate terms & conditions, prepare contracts, monitor contractor performance and delivery of services to meet objectives.
- Provide agreed approvals and supporting documentation for payment of invoices to ensure the required services to Worley and its clients.
- Ability to troubleshoot and develop tactical plans for implementing organizational goals and oversee the design of new concepts and ideas related to projects as well as functional area of expertise.
- Broad knowledge of functional area and ability to implement and lead organizational project change effectively; Solutions are derived from interpreted and applied general information and consultation with other individuals.
- Effectively communicate and present complex proposals and reports to senior level management.
- Ability to persuade and influence others.
- Participative management style with a cooperative team approach.
- Advanced understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field.
- Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues. May be involved in the development of new systems, processes and tools.
Qualifications :
- University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 15+ years relevant experience including supervisory, project management and / or technical experience.
- Experience working in EPC / EPCM projects is a must.
- Availability to eventually travel for business to other locations.
- Fluent Spanish, and Advanced English level is a must, portuguese is desirable
