We are looking for a new Lead API Engineer to join the API, Integrations & Cloud Enablement team of our Center of Excellence in Buenos Aires .
What you will do in this role...
- Establish a regional integration strategy and leverage it to help expand digital channels, both internal and external to MetLife.
- Lead detailed design of RESTful APIs and integrations to refine delivery across our operations, working in an agile environment.
- Put into practice your solid background and knowledge of APIs, the mechanics of how data moves, and how to enable fit-for-purpose integrations in a hybrid cloud.
Apply your expertise in iPaaS to help facilitate integrations.

To help you succeed, you need to have...
Knowledge in API Access Patterns (AuthZ / AuthN). API Management products (Azure APIM, IBM API Connect preferred). Infrastructure design (high level).
Microservices architecture and hands on development experience.
- Strong analytical skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
- Motivation to learn and apply new technology concepts and the "art of possible".
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with multiple global tech leaders and partners, train and coach team members.
- Fluent in oral and written Spanish language.
- Advanced written English language proficiency (intermediate oral is OK)
And it will be a plus if you have...
- Azure Certification
