Primary Purpose
The Infrastructure / Systems Engineer role will participate in the Platform Deployment, Maintenance, Performance and Monitoring of infrastructures supporting multiple customers as a MSP. It is a diverse role which also encompasses Security Analysis and some Application Support.
Principal Responsibilities:
Security, maintenance and monitoring of Routers and Switches
Enterprise Event Logging (SIEM)
Security scanning and vulnerability analysis
Capacity, Availability and Planning reporting
Enterprise monitoring of Servers, Workstations (Linux and Windows) Network devices, Roadside equipment / CCTV encoders and Printers
Writing and presenting changes to CAB including RFCs and Implementation plans
Automation & Scripting
Remote PC Hardware troubleshooting
Windows 10 configuration management to include remote software deployments, compliance, compatibility, security and connectivity
Requesting / understanding / troubleshooting firewall requirements between interconnecting systems in both LAN / WAN environments
Licensing and Certificate Management
Interoperability of systems
Linux and Windows Server Configuration / Management
To work within a SIAM support model amongst multiple IT suppliers
Documentation and design of all of the aforementioned

Required Qualifications, Experience:
Standard GCSE and A level qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in-role at an enterprise level having gained practical experience and knowledge of the above Principal Responsibilities.
Working experience with the principle technologies listed above
Professional infrastructure qualifications such as MCSA / MCSE / VCP / CCNA / JNCxx would be favorable as would demonstration of any relevant professional training.
