Responsible for management and administration of site OHS initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) local regulations, and execute strategies to assure effective OHS programs and processes to improve employee working safety and reduce workplace risks.
Implement and maintain safety and health processes that proactively target injury/illness/incident prevention, and participate in safety Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Implement and maintain programs for OHS legal compliance with existing local laws, regulations to enhance safety performance and promote safety culture.
Ensure proper and timely investigation of all near misses, injuries, and other safety-related incidents that have occurred.
Lead OHS internal training about health and safety issues and risks; Provide new-employee health and safety orientations, and conduct safety training or education programs for the use of safety equipment.
Manage and organize OHS Committee to set company workplace safety goals to be aligned with company safety strategy.
Develop and implement Occupational Health and safety risk assessment and prevention initiatives to eliminate occupational risks, injuries, illnesses from unsafe behavior and work environment.
Inspect and implement regular site inspections, and establish safety audit policies to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations. Follow-up inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
Occupational injury & illness statistics updating and reporting in Government OHS system per local law requirement.
Chemical management, identify its risk, and implement suitable controls. Maintain inventories of hazardous materials or hazardous wastes to ensure that materials are handled properly.
License of "Occupational safety and health management personnel or "Occupation safety (or health) management specialist is a must.
License of“Fire management personnel" is preferred.
