The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded Telecom Business Development Manager, also known as Service Line Specialist, to drive growth in Telecom domain. The ideal candidate will capitalize on new business opportunities, establishing business solutions, and driving revenue growth within the telecom industry, specializing on OSS.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement a comprehensive business development strategy to expand our footprint in telecom OSS.

  • In-depth understanding of telecom and cable operators’ needs, industry trends, and technologies in OSS and networks

  • Identify and engage with potential clients, fostering relationships with key partners in the industry and in Cognizant through value-based domain selling.

  • Collaborate with client partners, technical teams to identify white spaces in the client’s landscape and craft tailored network solutions and proposals aligned with client goals and objectives.

  • Come with and stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.

  • Lead business and techno-functional discussions, client value discovery workshops, and ensure revenue success with clients and partners.

  • Individual will carry a sales and Business Development enablement target that would need to be met/exceeded by implementing effective GTM strategies and initiatives, working with CSPs, MSOs, Satellite network providers, Enterprise telcos, telco OEMs.

  • Key responsibility is to craft technology solutions aligned with client business solutions providing a comprehensive value proposition to clients.

  • Conduct discovery workshops and presentations with clients across the globe.

  • Experience in establishing and fostering partnerships through relationships, asset creation and GTM

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related field.

  • 12 + years in being a subject matter authority in Telecom OSS

  • Business and techno-functional understanding of telecom networks, telco customer journey maps, telecom business processes and products, OSS - traditional and cloud native, exposure to OSS products

  • In-depth knowledge and execution experience in any one of these areas - Mediation, Device management, AAA, Service management, Service Assurance, resource and workforce management, inventory, and ability to drive techno-functional deals/propositions with the clients and partners across the entire FCAPS value chain.

  • Ideally should have worked one more than one leading OSS platform in selling, solutioning or system integrating in a client environment such as Netcracker, ServiceNow, Nokia, HP or Ericsson either in telecom CSP or Cable MSO domain

  • Ability to connect within the industry to build and further client relationships as the “Go-To” advisor on the subject area covering Day -1 to Day 3 scenarios.

  • Exceptional communication, collaborator, and articulate presentation skills

  • Preferred Location: Atlanta, Dallas or NJ, USA

Preferred Experience

  • MS or MBA degree preferred

  • Ability to add to new business development efforts and to lead multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Problem-solving abilities to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications

  • Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries, and technical and non-technical audiences
