Role: Telecom Business Development Manager

**Position Overview: ** We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded Telecom Business Development Manager to drive growth in Telecom domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capitalizing on new business opportunities, establishing business solutions, and driving revenue growth within the telecom industry, specializing on B/OSS, networks, and other enterprise telco.
**Responsibilities: ** -
· Execute a comprehensive Business Development strategy to expand our footprint in telecom, particularly in networks area.
· Identify and engage with potential clients, fostering relationships with key stakeholders in the industry and in Cognizant through value-based domain selling.
· Collaborate with client partners, technical teams to identify white spaces in the client’s landscape and craft tailored network solutions and proposals aligned with client needs.
· Come with and stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
· Lead business and techno-functional discussions, client value discovery workshops, and ensure revenue success with clients and partners.
· Role will carry a sales and BD enablement target that would need to be met/exceeded by implementing effective GTM strategies and initiatives, working with CSPs, MSOs, Satellite network providers, Enterprise telcos telecom OEMs, and new age telecom companies.
· Key responsibility would be to shape up technology solutions into client aligned business solutions and stitch/articulate a comprehensive value proposition to clients.
· Be travel read to drive due diligence, value discovery workshops, proposal defence presentations with clients across the globe.
· Experience in establishing and nurturing partnerships through relationships, asset creation and GTM and shaping/executing the right fit operating model with partners.
**Requirements: **
· Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. An MBA is advantageous.
· Proven track record of 5-8+ years in Business Development or consulting or being a subject matter expert in telecom.
· Deep business and techno-functional understanding of telecom networks, telco cloud, SDN, 4G/5G, WiFi6, Edge connectivity, network analytics, network APIs , Cx transformation
· Deep knowledge or execution experience in any one of these areas such as Telco customer experience journeys, 4G, 5G, SD-WAN, SDN/NFV and other programmable networks, Fiber, O-RAN, Packet core, RF engineering, optimization, Telco DC, Edge, WiFi6/7, DOCSIS, network automation tools, NOC, Telco Labs, OEM product sets, Enterprise networks, network analytics use cases and ability to drive techno-functional deals/propositions with the clients and partners
· Ideally should have worked for a leading telco around in wireline and/or wireless domain including experience with NOC positioning, network analytics
· Strong connects within the industry and a demonstrated ability to build and nurture client relationships as the “Go-To” advisor on the subject area covering Day -1 to Day 3 scenarios.
· Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and articulate presentation skills
